The Audio-Technica ATND8734A is a Dante-enabled wall and ceiling plate power module designed to integrate compatible microphones into a networked environment. This module provides a direct Dante network output for microphones utilizing TA3F-type connectors, specifically the ES931/MIC and ES933/MIC models. By utilizing an RJ45 output jack, the ATND8734A allows for efficient connection to a network via CAT5e or better cabling, eliminating the requirement for traditional audio cables and soldering.

Network Integration and Compatibility

The ATND8734A offers plug-and-play compatibility with AES67 networks, facilitating interoperability with Livewire, RAVENNA, and Q-LAN AoIP technologies. It features a TB3M-type input for the quick mounting of microphones. This module also includes a logic input that accepts an external switch for connection to the Dante network, enhancing its utility in integrated systems.

Advanced Audio Processing and Control

This power module incorporates several signal processing and monitoring features controlled remotely via third-party software:

• 80 Hz UniSteep Filter: An integrated low-cut filter allows users to choose between a flat response or a low-frequency roll-off to minimize unwanted ambient noise.

The ATND8734A supports Dante Domain Manager (DDM), which provides enhanced administrative capabilities for large-scale installations. These features include:

Design and Installation

The module features a circular cover plate designed for discreet installation in walls or ceilings. For aesthetic flexibility, the cover plate is removable and can be painted using commercially available spray paint to match the surrounding decor.
