The Audio-Technica ATW-1421/L Dual Lavalier Wireless System (ATW-1421/L) is a 2.4 GHz digital wireless package featuring an ATW-R1440 rack-mount receiver chassis, two ATW-T1401 body-pack transmitters, and two MT830cW lavalier microphones.

The modular design allows for significant scalability and range. Receiver units can be docked directly in the ATW-R1440 chassis or mounted remotely up to 328 feet away via Ethernet cable. This flexibility improves signal stability in complex architectural spaces. Up to five chassis can be linked and used simultaneously to expand the system capacity. Additionally, each receiver channel pairs with up to four transmitters, allowing for rapid switching between different hardware configurations.
Both the transmitters and receivers include OLED screens for clear readouts of key settings and system alerts. The chassis System ID Display provides immediate feedback on RF signal levels, system ID, transmitter battery levels, and link status. For centralized control, the ATW-1421/L is compatible with Audio-Technica’s Wireless Manager software. This software enables users to configure, monitor, and save device settings as projects while supporting the Syslog protocol for system monitoring.
The ATW-T1401 body-pack transmitters feature water- and sweat-resistant cW-style connectors to ensure a secure, durable connection to the included MT830cW lavalier microphones. These transmitters include integrated charging terminals for use with ATW-CHG3 or ATW-CHG3N charging docks when using NiMH batteries. An auto-lock function protects the system from unintended operations, such as accidental power-offs or channel changes during a performance.
The ATW-R1440 half-rack receiver chassis includes a short and long rack ear for flexible mounting. Two long ears can also serve as a joining plate to secure two chassis within a single full rack space. The system supports mixed output for applications with limited input channels, ensuring compatibility with various audio mixing setups.
