The Audio-Technica ATUC-IRCU is a 19-inch rack-mountable control unit designed for the ATUC-IR hybrid discussion system. This central unit enables the seamless integration of both infrared and wired discussion units, utilizing 24-bit/48 kHz digital signal processing to deliver high-fidelity audio. Each connected unit benefits from dedicated automated gain control (AGC), mic gain, and mic EQ to maintain consistent audio quality across the entire system.
The ATUC-IRCU features a 12-band feedback suppressor that eliminates unwanted noise and interference. The 24-bit digital audio processing ensures crystal-clear communication during conferences. The system allows for precise adjustments of individual microphone parameters, ensuring every participant is heard clearly regardless of their environment.
This control unit offers extensive scalability for large-scale installations. A single ATUC-IRCU supports up to 200 ATUC-IRDU infrared discussion units and 100 ATUC-50DU/IU wired units. For larger requirements, users can link up to two ATUC-50CU control units via Cat5e or better cabling. This configuration allows for a maximum of 500 discussion units in a single system. The architecture supports both daisy chain and ring topologies to provide flexible installation options and system redundancy.
The ATUC-IRCU provides three selectable conference modes to accommodate various meeting structures:
Various override settings allow administrators to manage the discussion effectively based on the specific needs of the session.
The unit includes a robust array of inputs and outputs for professional audio integration:
An onboard audio recorder allows for direct capture of proceedings to a USB mass storage device. The system supports both MP3 and WAV file formats with a maximum file size of 2 GB and a total storage capacity of 2 TB. For system monitoring, the front panel features an OLED display showing active system information and presets, while LED indicators provide real-time status updates for critical functions.
Administrators can operate the ATUC-IRCU locally at the unit, through a Web Remote interface that requires no additional software, or via third-party IP control systems. This versatility ensures the system integrates easily into existing AV infrastructures and allows for efficient remote management.
