The Audio-Technica ATW-CHG3A is a professional two-bay charging station designed for efficient power management of wireless components. This docking station charges NiMH batteries while they remain housed within the transmitter or receiver, eliminating the need to remove power cells between uses. It serves as a central hub for maintaining the readiness of System 20 PRO transmitters, 3000 Series transmitters, and 3000 Series IEM receivers.
The ATW-CHG3A incorporates smart safety features to protect equipment and optimize battery health. The station automatically shuts off upon detecting alkaline or damaged batteries to prevent hardware issues. Once batteries reach full capacity, a dedicated maintenance charging function ensures they retain their maximum power level for the duration of their time in the dock. Additionally, transmitters power off automatically upon placement in the station and power on automatically when removed, streamlining transitions for users.
Integrated LED indicators provide immediate visual feedback regarding power status and charging progress. For larger installations, the system supports modular expansion. Users can link up to five ATW-CHG3A charging stations using the AT8687 link kit and AD-SA1230XA AC adapter, which are available separately. This configuration allows a single power supply to support up to ten transmitters simultaneously.
Built to withstand professional use, the unit operates within a temperature range of 0° C to 40° C. The charger delivers a consistent output to ensure reliable recovery times for wireless devices. Its compact footprint allows for easy integration into equipment rooms or backstage areas.
