The Audio-Technica ATW-1422 System 20 PRO Dual Handheld Wireless System is a professional 2.4 GHz digital wireless solution designed for high-fidelity audio capture and versatile configuration. This system includes one ATW-R1440 4-channel receiver and two ATW-T1402 handheld microphone transmitters. By operating in the 2.4 GHz range, the system remains completely free from TV interference, offering dependable plug-and-play operation.
The ATW-1422 utilizes digital 24-bit/48 kHz wireless operation to ensure ultimate sound quality. Users can optimize the system for their specific environment by switching between two distinct modes: Standard mode, which provides 10 channels with minimized latency, and HD mode, which maximizes the channel count up to 20 channels. For secure signal transmission, the system incorporates AES128 encryption.
The receiver units provide significant installation versatility. Users can dock the receivers directly in the chassis or mount them remotely up to 328 feet away using an Ethernet cable. For larger installations, up to five chassis can be linked and used simultaneously. Each receiver channel supports pairing with up to four transmitters, which allows for near-instant switching between different transmitter configurations without manual re-pairing.
Both transmitters and receivers feature integrated OLED screens for clear readouts of key settings and alerts. The main chassis includes a System ID Display that provides real-time data on RF signal level, system ID, transmitter battery levels, and system link status. An auto-lock function prevents unintended operations, such as accidental power-offs or unauthorized channel selection changes.
This system is compatible with Audio-Technica’s Wireless Manager software, enabling centralized management of settings and operations. Users can configure, monitor, and save device settings as projects within the software. The ATW-1422 also supports the Syslog protocol for advanced network monitoring and diagnostics.
The ATW-T1402 handheld transmitters include dedicated charging terminals compatible with ATW-CHG3/ATW-CHG3a and ATW-CHG3N/ATW-CHG3Na charging docks to simplify NiMH battery maintenance. For physical installation, each half-rack receiver chassis includes a short and a long rack ear. Two long ears can be combined to serve as a joining plate, allowing two chassis to be secured together in a full rack space. The system also supports mixed output for use in scenarios with limited available input channels.
