The Audio-Technica ATND933A is a condenser hanging microphone system engineered for high-quality sound reinforcement, television, and professional recording. This low-profile microphone provides an excellent response for suspending over choirs, theater stages, and instrumental groups. The system includes a Dante-enabled power module and a steel hanger to facilitate precise positioning in demanding acoustic environments.
The ATND933A features an ATND8734a Dante-enabled wall/ceiling plate power module that permits permanent installation in standard 2-gang electrical boxes. This module allows for a direct connection to the network via a standard Ethernet cable. The system provides plug-and-play compatibility with AES67 networks, including those utilizing RAVENNA, Q-LAN, and Livewire AoIP technologies. Integration with Dante Domain Manager adds advanced features such as role-based security, SNMP alerts, and cross-subnet routing. A built-in logic input accepts an external switch for direct connection to the Dante network.
This condenser microphone is designed for maximum gain before feedback through superior off-axis rejection. It utilizes UniSteep filter technology to provide steep low-frequency attenuation, which minimizes the pickup of undesired ambient noise. For specialized applications, the microphone supports interchangeable elements that allow the angle of acceptance to be adjusted between 90° and 360°.
To maintain signal integrity, the ATND933A incorporates UniGuard RFI-shielding technology for outstanding rejection of radio frequency interference. The microphone features a low-reflectance finish to ensure minimum visibility during broadcasts or live performances. The unit comes equipped with a 15.2 m (50') permanently attached miniature cable, which is terminated with a TA3F-type connector for secure attachment to the power module.
