The Audio-Technica AT8492W Woodwind Mounting System provides a specialized solution for attaching microphones to woodwind instruments. This system integrates the AT8491W Woodwind Mount with the AT8490 5" Gooseneck to provide stable and flexible microphone placement. It is designed specifically for the ATM350a Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone.
The AT8491W mount features an adjustable hook-and-loop fastener strap for easy installation. This strap attaches the unit just above the bell of the instrument. A rubber pad positioned on the strap opposite the mount ensures a secure fit to prevent slipping during use.
The base of the mounting system includes specially designed contact points. These points minimize the damping of the instrument’s resonance, preserving the natural sound quality of the woodwind.
The AT8490 5" Gooseneck provides a strong yet flexible structure for precise microphone orientation. A locking screw secures the gooseneck into the mount's socket, maintaining the desired position regardless of instrument movement during play.
