The Audio-Technica AT8015 Shotgun Condenser Microphone is an 18.1-inch long line and gradient microphone.
The Audio-Technica AT8015 Shotgun Condenser Microphone is a line and gradient microphone specifically engineered for professional video production and broadcast audio acquisition. This 18.1-inch microphone provides a narrow acceptance angle optimized for long-distance sound pickup in Electronic News Gathering (ENG) and Electronic Field Production (EFP) scenarios.
The AT8015 features excellent sound rejection from the sides and rear of the microphone. This directional focus allows for clear audio capture from a distance while isolating the target source from surrounding noise. The line and gradient design ensures precise sound localization in various recording environments.
The microphone includes a switchable low-frequency roll-off to enhance recording quality. This feature reduces the pickup of low-frequency ambient noise, such as traffic and air-handling systems. Additionally, the roll-off minimizes room reverberation and mechanically coupled vibrations that can interfere with clear audio acquisition.
The Audio-Technica AT8015 supports flexible use across different equipment configurations and locations.
